The ASICS FrontRunner Trainingscamp 2023 in Portugal was simply amazing - it was about cherishing movement, it was about ASICS core identity #soundmindsoundbody. Foever gratfeul for being part of this #OneTeam.

As a member of the Swiss ASICS FrontRunner Team, which was established in March of this year, I eagerly anticipated our first international event. When I received the email inviting me to join, I felt a mix of excitement and a touch of uncertainty about how everything would unfold: 60 FrontRunners from around the world would gather in the beautiful Algarve region of Portugal, with many already acquainted with each other, while I was the sole representative from Switzerland.

It turned out to be an absolutely fantastic week, and I'll treasure the memories we created together for a very long time!

As I sit here in Switzerland, reflecting on the past few days, I've come to realize that this group's identity truly is #OneTeam. Our team is wonderfully diverse in terms of age, gender, cultural and religious backgrounds, nationalities, languages, and running styles. We had elite marathon runners mixing with short-distance and trail runners, as well as those who were taking a break due to running-related injuries. But during this week, I came to realise once again that ASICS FrontRunner is about a lot more than just running: It is about celebrating movement, finding joy, freedom, and fulfillment, and letting go of the daily challenges, all while discussing the significant events happening around the world this week.

We had a ton of fun (I even got to experience the legendary Black Hat Parties!), enjoyed karaoke and so much more. We engaged in profound and inspiring conversations, shared many meals, and engaged in various sports activities. In addition to the essential strength training I did to address my knee injury, I also enjoyed swimming (thanks to the guidance of coaches Luis and Vania), road cycling (led by Fernando and Carla), Pilates and Mobility (under the expert guidance of Ania), and even had the opportunity to try out the Moveoo concept (with Thomas), as well as having a "private" photoshoot with Andy given I couldn't join most of the running. And then there was physiotherapy! Having been accustomed to physio sessions that mainly revolve around strength training, I can't express enough gratitude for the incredible Hands4Health team. Within moments, Ruben pinpointed the source of my knee pain and used an innovative treatment to release the pain.

To sum it up, it was an amazing experience, and you guys are simply the best! Thanks a million to David, Lina & Araia - and absolutely everyone else - for making this such an amazing experience. And huge thanks to the team capturing all those beautiful memories on camera: Andy, Laura, Victor & Alvaro.

Looking forward to seeing you all soon, and perhaps, one day, we'll explore my beloved backyard together—the Swiss mountains!
