The Asics Kayano is celebrating its 30th birthday this year and celebrating in a big way !

With a completely redesigned look and feel, I had a chance to try out the new Asics Gel Kayano 30 recently. As a neutral, high arched runner, my favourites are the Gel Nimbus 25, but the new look Gel Kayano 30 with added features such as the FlyteFoam Blast+ midsole, the 4D Guidance System, the PureGel insert, and the AHAR+ outsole made these shoes an awesome alternative for my daily runs.

The Asics Gel Kayano 30 shoe is an ideal shoe for a runner who needs some stability and support for long runs. The shoe fits true to size and had a snug and secure upper that wraps around your feet neatly. The upper was made of engineered mesh that was breathable and flexible. The heel collar was padded and comfortable, and the tongue was gusseted and did not slide around.

It is a good choice for runners who want a soft and cushioned shoe that can handle different types of terrain. It may not suit runners looking for pace or responsiveness but ideal as a long distance, premium stability training shoe.
