It's fast, it's light, it's amazingly pretty. Here's what I thought of the Fuji Lite 2!

My first impression of the new Fuji Lite 2 was that it was really gorgeous pair of shoes. It has the same grip system as Fujitrabuco Max so I felt pretty comfortable trying it out on the Spartan obstacle race in Mallorca back in October. Of course I had to try them out before going on a race with them, so I tried them on for a few middle distance slow runs in trails near Stockholm area to feel them out.

So far with some sands, some rocky and rooty mud trails, and dry Spanish trails the Fuji Lite 2 holds up very well! I felt pretty confident with my strides up and down a small mountain terrains and the grip is strong enough I went through the obstacles without any problem. The lightweight-ness and thinner sole actually helped me a bit as well since I could feel out the terrains more and feel more in control of my strides.

Here are my favorite parts about Fuji Lite 2:

  1. Lightweight
  2. Great design
  3. Sturdy grips in most surfaces
  4. Breathable top that felt great in higher temperature runs

So for the loose sketchy trails, dry rocky trails, packed snow, and a bit muddy trails I think the Fuji Lite 2 is a fantastic shoes, especially for the shorter runs and races and training runs or if you want to save some room but still bring a pair of trail shoes for your travel destinations.
