Novak Djokovic sealed his second successive and 14th overall Grand Slam at the US Open recently following his comeback win at Wimbledon 2018 and a long injury lay-off in 2018.
A selection of media and key influencers were treated to a special evening with Novak at the ASICS Retail Store in 5th Avenue, New York ahead of the US Open where they were able to connect directly with Novak and also gain insight into the process of Novak’s comeback during 2018.
Novak spent a lengthy time off on the sidelines during 2017 following elbow surgery during which time he signed the contract to become part of the ASICS team ahead of his return to action.
The Australian Open was the first major tournament where Novak played in his new footwear even though both in Melbourne and at the French Open he was still in the process of rediscovering his form and finding his winning feet.
That didn’t last long and following a surprise victory, even by his own expectations, at Wimbledon 2018 he went into the US Open as favourite and didn’t let that hold him back as he cruised to the title in emphatic fashion.
