Monfils, a former world number 7 and four time ATP tournament winner, has signed a multi-year contract and will begin wearing ASICS footwear and apparel from the beginning of the 2013 tennis season.

Gaël is usually described as a baseline player who uses his placement on the court and his solid play to beat his opposition. His serve is strong (reaching up to 140mph) however, it is his ability to go from defense to offense quickly which can take his opponents by surprise and win him crucial shots. Indeed, he is renowned for his high jumps, athletic pace and high risk strategy to return winning shots. And when he does win, Monfils often treats his crowds to a unique victory dance.
Monfils, will start his tennis season in ASICS apparel and footwear from January 2013 at the Australian open.
